Plain language — what Helm holds, what it does not, and how you leave.
What Helm stores
Helm is a household ops tool. Depending on what you paste, forward, or type, your household on this device can include:
- School and activity emails, flyers, and other captures you send in
- Dates, to-dos, events, and notes pulled from those captures after you review them
- Household profiles — names, roles, and notes you add (including allergies)
- Meals you pick, kitchen notes, and dinner plans
- Payments or fees you choose to track (for example a lunch account or sitter pay)
By default this lives in your browser on this device. You can export a backup from Settings. Cloud sync is optional — if you turn it on in Settings, a copy can leave this device so another one can pick it up. Partner and sitter links are not cloud sync.
How AI reads captures
When you paste text, forward mail, or upload a flyer photo, Helm may send that capture to a language model so it can suggest dates, events, and to-dos. You review those suggestions before they land on Today. We do not use your school mail, flyers, or household notes to train models. We do not sell your data.
Partner day links
A partner day link is a short, time-limited page — today's briefing and the tasks you chose to share. It is not a full login and not a second household account. Anyone with the link can see that day's brief until it expires. Treat it like a text you meant to send to one person.
Forwarded email
If you forward school mail to your household address, the message waits in a server queue until you open Helm or tap Check now. After you review and file it, the plan lives with your household data. Do not forward mail you would not want on this device.
How to delete the household
Settings → Advanced → Start over. Type START OVER to erase household data stored in this browser. That does not delete mail still sitting with your school or the original sender. If you exported a backup file, delete that file separately.
What we do not do
- We do not sell household data
- We do not train models on your mail, captures, or profiles
- We do not turn a partner link into an account
